Engineer → Product engineer → Technical leader

I build coding agents.
And lead the team
behind them.

System design, working prototypes, and the decisions that turn an idea into a useful product.

Deep in the system.
Close to the product.

I started in full-stack development, moved into product engineering, and now lead an 18-person team at PureCode AI. I work across architecture, technical research, prototyping, and developer experience.

PureCode AI

Technical Product Manager

Jan 2023 — Present

Leading the architecture and delivery of coding agents for VS Code and the cloud, from developer feedback and prototypes to weekly fixes and fortnightly feature releases.

01Give each task the right context.

I architected and prototyped dynamic, specialized subagents to split independent work into parallel tasks. Each works in its own context, with a shared scratchpad for progress—keeping the main thread focused and helping control token cost.

02Make autonomy controllable.

I led permission controls for tools and terminal commands, protected files and folders, and ways for agents to ask for clarification. Developers choose what an agent can do, and which decisions need their input.

03Keep useful context. Drop the rest.

I led six months of context engineering improvements in early 2026, raising internally measured task success from 82% to 90–95%. Prompt caching, pruning stale tool outputs, and summarization also delivered an internally estimated 3x improvement in token-cost efficiency. The work includes hybrid retrieval, reranking, repository maps, and file-based memory.

04Evaluate changes before trusting them.

We use Langfuse and reasoning models as LLM judges to evaluate every new model and prompt improvement. We update the judge as our evaluation needs change.

05Track whether people come back.

Monthly paid-subscriber retention improved from 65% to 70% over eight months. Monthly enterprise customer retention was 90%, counting existing customers and excluding new sign-ups. These are internal product metrics.

06Make cloud changes reviewable.

I guide Cloud Agent architecture for repository-connected work in isolated execution environments. Checkpoints, model fallback, and validation-to-pull-request workflows give developers ways to review and recover agent changes.

07From a UI image to working code.

Earlier at PureCode, I designed an image-to-code ML pipeline using YOLOv7-based UI detection and an intermediate DSL, built training-data tools, and engineered a transpiler for multiple frontend frameworks. I also helped build chat-based UI iteration and the subscription, payment, and workspace systems around the product.

Ovonts

Product Engineer · Nov 2021 — Jan 2023

I architected the end-to-end campaign analytics platform: event-tracking SDKs, WordPress and store plugins, and scraping pipelines for Instagram and other content platforms. The discovery module used rules, probabilistic classification, and regression for campaign targeting. I also built resource-level access controls and workspace systems, maintained AWS, Docker, and CI/CD, and guided developers through code reviews and delivery.

React interfaces, application state, APIs on GCP, transactional email, and Shopify integrations. The full-stack foundation I still use when making system-level decisions.

Your favorite agents.
Now your subagents.

Subagent Bridge lets Codex, Pi, OpenCode, and DeepSeek delegate work to each other. Choose allowed workers and models, let the main agent keep working, and follow up in the same worker conversation.
